Josh Scharff

Josh Scharff recently completed his first year of law school at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and hopes to pursue a career in international human rights law. Before attending law school, Josh spent nine months traveling in South East Asia, China, and India. He received his Bachelor of Arts in political science and Middle Eastern studies with highest honors from Rutgers University and wrote a senior year thesis entitled High Level Political Assassination in the Middle East and its Impact on Regional Foreign Policy. Josh first became interested in refugee issues in 2001 while teaching English to Ethiopian and Russian immigrants in Israel. Introduced to the plight of refugees in post-conflict societies, Josh's passion for refugee issues heightened in 2004 while studying international conflict and mediation in The Hague.
