Naomi Cutler graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan, receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. Before coming to Asylum Access, she worked at the Public Committee Against Torture in Israel, a joint Palestinian/Israeli initiative which successfully petitioned the Israeli government to outlaw torture in 1999 and now works to monitor the implementation of the law. There she developed an interest in working with victims of conflict situations, leading her into the field of refugee rights.
